CHILDSPARK

COMPETITION

Storywriting

WELCOME!

Child Spark Initiative, Inc. launches the maiden edition of Child Spark Storywriting Competition. It is a quarterly storywriting competition with the best three of all entries winning the three prizes available. Our goal is to create a platform for positive stories that feature themes based on or related to children in Africa, the Caribbean Islands and around the world.

What We Are Looking For...

We are seeking originality, creativity and verve. We are seeking stories that are inspirational and aspirational. We want both fiction and non-fiction. Non-fiction must be compelling and up-lifting. If your non-fiction is a little depressing, make sure that you give us some ray of hope or call us to action. We are convinced the challenges faced by children have been over-flogged in some quarters. Our interest lies in giving hope to those who are caught in difficult circumstances.

All genres are welcome.

This competition is great for students in post-primary and tertiary institutions.

Eligibility

* Ages 13 - 25

* Open to anyone around the world, especially from Africa, the Caribbean Islands and South America

* Employees and relatives of officers and employees of Childspark Initiative, Inc., Topido Entertainment & Media Company, and our sponsors are not eligible.
