Why You Should Participate

This contest is run in celebration of the special relationship that exists between a mother and a child. We firmly believe that celebrating a mother is not just a Mother's Day affair. 

 

The Winning Prize is a Dinner Voucher valued at $100 for the winning entry. The best 10 entries also get published in our forthcoming monthly newsletter and coffee table book.

 

This contest is an opportunity for you to celebrate your mom, another way of saying "Thank You" for all that she has done for you.

 

You don't have to be a professional photographer or invest in an expensive digital camera. Your phone camera will be just fine.

Rules & Regulations

  1. This competition is open to anyone from 8 years of age, especially pre-teens and teenagers

  2. Contest is open to young people currently residing in all the countries of Africa, the Caribbean Islands, the United States of America, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia

  3. Each participant may submit up to three entries only on digital format; we do not accept analog or print; you can also upload through Facebook and Instagram

  4. All submissions must be submitted through Instagram. Please click on this link - 

  5. All cost incurred during this participation shall be borne by participant

  6. All submissions are non-returnable and shall remain the sole property of Child Spark Initiative, Inc; Child Spark Initiative, Inc. reserves all rights to reproduce, publicize or to exhibit the submissions in any form of media or medium whether locally or internationally without any prior notification or payment made to participants. Credit and acknowledgement will be given accordingly.

  7. Image submitted must not be published by any media or medium prior to this.

  8. All entries must be participants' original works. Usage of third party/parties creative works are prohibited. Such entries will be automatically disqualified.

  9. With the entry submission, the participants hereby agree to indemnify Child Spark Initiative, Inc. from any and all legal claims or otherwise.

  10. Participants must ensure that they secure the permission those photographed. You cannot submit a photograph not taken by you.

  11. Entries will be judged on the following criteria: subject matter, composition, creativity and technique.

  12. Minor photo touch-up is allowed i.e. adjustment of brightness of color and softening or sharpening of the image.

  13. Contest starts on June 4, 2018. All entries must be submitted by June 15,  2018 .

  14. Judges decision is final and any form of correspondences shall not be entertained.

  15. This contest is open to all except the staff of Child Spark Initiative, Inc. and Teewai-Gold Media LLC.

  16. Winner shall be notified via email, Child Spark Initiative, Inc. website, Instagram and Facebook page by June 25, 2018.

  17. Prizes will be shipped to winners no later than June 30, 2018.
